2026–2027 CFDE Handbook Acknowledgment Requirement

All students enrolled in Ballet Spartanburg's Center for Dance Education are required to have a completed 2026–2027 CFDE Handbook Acknowledgment on file.

For students under 18, the acknowledgment must be completed by the student and a parent or legal guardian. Adult students (18+) must complete the acknowledgment on their own behalf.

Beginning October 1, 2026, students without a completed Handbook Acknowledgment on file will not be permitted to participate in CFDE classes, rehearsals, performances, or Ballet Spartanburg Company productions until the acknowledgment has been completed.

This acknowledgment confirms that students and families have received, reviewed, and agree to follow the policies and expectations outlined in the CFDE Handbook.

The 2026–2027 CFDE Handbook and Handbook Acknowledgment Form are available in the CFDE Portal. Please review the handbook in full and complete the acknowledgment form by October 1.

African Dance Registration Form 

Ballet Spartanburg offers a free African Dance class open to the public. Registration for this class is separate from CFDE ballet and dance classes and must be completed by everyone attending. You may click here for more information.

POLICIES

Private Instruction Policy Information

• Instructor/student arrangements must be approved by School Principal
• Studio space must be reserved on the calendar by School Principal
• Student must be registered at the Center for Dance Education
• Student must be enrolled in at least 3 classes
• Student must be 11 years of age or older
• Student must have exemplary attendance records
• Student must be up to date on tuition
• Private lessons are solely for the purpose of refinement and enrichment
• Private lessons are not for advancement in levels or desired roles in productions
• The class fee is paid directly to the instructor
