Board of Trustees

The Ballet Spartanburg Board of Trustees is a diverse group of men and women who govern the organization with the highest of integrity and fiduciary responsibility. The Board meets at noon at the Chapman Cultural Center a minimum of 7 times annually. The time of service is three years with an option to serve a second term. New board members are voted on annually to replace members who rotate off after completing their terms. Each member helps to cultivate donors and engage the community in understanding and furthering the complete mission/vision of Ballet Spartanburg.

Ballet Spartanburg is an
Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Award

Ballet Spartanburg has received the 2018 Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Award. This award is given each year by the South Carolina Arts Commission to recognize exemplary artists and arts organizations for the State of South Carolina. “Each recipient of these Verner Awards is an outstanding ambassador for our state and contributes greatly not just to the arts community, but the overall quality of life.  As the Arts Commission nears completion of its 50th anniversary celebration, we are honored to recognize organizations and individuals who live out the service, commitment and passion that helped the arts here thrive throughout the last half century."
