2026/2027 SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Dance demonstrations are held in conjunction with our public performances for over two dozen Spartanburg, Cherokee, Union, and Greenville County schools throughout the year. In 2025-2026, Ballet Spartanburg served over 11,000 students in our community. School shows for 2026-2027 include Cinderella, The Sensory Sensitive Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, and Science, Technology & Math - Oh My!
2026-2027 Ballet Spartanburg School Performances Information

Ballet Spartanburg hosts school day shows both in theaters and in YOUR school. Review the performance season, talk with your grade level, and reserve your spots NOW!

Approximately four weeks before the performance, you will receive a study guide that will help enhance your attendance at the performance. Go over the details with your students so they know what they are going to see to make the most of your field study.

Connections to the SC College and Career Ready Standards for Visual and Performing Arts Proficiency and additional standards are made within the study guides, so your instructional time is not lost.

Carlos Agudelo, 2023 SC Governor's Award for an Individual
Ballet Spartanburg's Artistic Director, Carlos Agudelo, was awarded the South Carolina Governor's Award from the South Carolina Arts Commission on May 23, 2023, at the Chapman Cultural Center. The award was presented by Mr. David Platt, Executive Director of the South Carolina Arts Commission. "We recognize the unparalleled energy, enthusiasm, devotion and love for dance that Carlos has gifted to our community out of his passion for all to experience the arts for the past 32 years. We are overjoyed that Carlos has been recognized by the South Carolina Arts Commission, " Teresa S. Berline, Executive Director. "The South Carolina Arts Commission is an extraordinary organization in our state which promotes and advocates opportunities in the arts which values equality, access, diversity and inclusion. Ballet Spartanburg is honored by the support of the South Carolina Arts Commission and the recognition of Carlos Agudelo."
