The Nutcracker Auditions

CFDE students who are 8 years old (and older) AND enrolled in a CFDE ballet class may audition for The Nutcracker. Auditions will take place on Saturday, August 23 from 9-12 pm at the Ballet Spartanburg Studios. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your audition call.

Important Information

• Auditions will take place on Saturday, August 23 at the Ballet Spartanburg Studios (located in the Montgomery Building of the Chapman Cultural Center). See audition times below.
• Auditionees must arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled audition time.
• Auditionees will need to provide a 4x6 photo of themselves in ballet attire in a ballet "1st position" at the time of the audition.
• Please come dressed to dance in your student's class dress code.
• Auditionees must be able to participate in all rehearsals, theatre rehearsals, and performances. Rehearsals will begin in mid-October. Theatre week is December 8-14.
• Please note that rehearsals and casting are subject to change.

Audition Times

• Ages 8-10: 9:00 am-10:00 am (Arrive at 8:30 am)
• Ages 11-13: 10:00 am-11:00 am (Arrive at 9:30 am)
• Ages 14 and above: 11:00 am-12:00 pm (Arrive at 10:30 am)
