clair de lune
" Moonlight"

SOLD OUT

Our signature fundraiser, Clair De Lune, is May 8, 2026, at the home of The Brandts and begins at 6PM. Evening Under the Stars is held at the home of Mary Nell and Buck Brandt, III. For four years, the Brandts have allowed 200+ attendees to dine in their gorgeous backyard, walk through their art-filled home, and enjoy an evening of ambiance.

The theme Clair De Lune is based on Claude Debussey's "Suite Bergamasque," which is the third of the four movements written for French poet Paul Verlaine's collection of Fêtes Galantes. The impressionistic style emits dreamlike emotion through lush and fluid movements. The music, beloved for its subtle balance of emotional depth and sensual texture, describes a moonlit night of masked dancers singing with serene and beautiful emotion. Historically, there was a gala at Versailles decorated with opulent colors for the guests dressed in Baroque finery and masquerade masks.

The Ballet Spartanburg professional Company will dance to Clare De Lune with new choreography. The evening features a five-course meal created by William Cribb and Team with wine for the evening selected by Jeff House of Bond Street Wines. The attire for the evening is white clothing, white accessories, and white party masks.

Sponsors have many opportunities including front row tables, a private table waiter to pour table wine, complimentary season memberships, and more. Please see the Sponsorship Opportunities here.

Let us all dance a moon dance prior to the event to ensure remarkable weather for an elegant evening at the home of Mary Nell and Bucko Brandt, III.

Tickets are $180 each.
