Ballet Spartanburg is currently seeking dancers for our 24/25 ballet season. We offer a 27-week contract which includes a robust performing season. The company repertoire is classically focused, therefore all-female artists must have strong pointe work.
Those who seek to audition need to be working citizens of the US.
In addition to salary, dancers will have the opportunity to dance in 4 to 5 major productions per season, ranging from classical to contemporary repertoire. The Company dances not only on the stage, but engages in many opportunities within the city, state and touring.
Ballet Spartanburg's artistic team is currently looking for both male and female dancers (Professional Company, apprentice, and trainee) with strong classical and contemporary technique for hire for the 2024/2025 season.

Private auditions are by invitation only. Upon viewing submitted videos, Ballet Spartanburg's Artistic Team may invite artists to attend company class.
Open auditions will be held in El Paso, TX, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Spartanburg, SC. Dates and times are forthcoming.

Ballet Spartanburg's Artistic Director, Carlos Agudelo, was awarded the South Carolina Governor's Award from the South Carolina Arts Commission on May 23, 2023, at the Chapman Cultural Center. The award was presented by Mr. David Platt, Executive Director of the South Carolina Arts Commission. "We recognize the unparalleled energy, enthusiasm, devotion and love for dance that Carlos has gifted to our community out of his passion for all to experience the arts for the past 32 years. We are overjoyed that Carlos has been recognized by the South Carolina Arts Commission, " Teresa S. Berline, Executive Director. "The South Carolina Arts Commission is an extraordinary organization in our state which promotes and advocates opportunities in the arts which values equality, access, diversity and inclusion.
