GRACIE JEAN JOINER was born in Atlanta, Georgia and began her ballet training at Atlanta Academy of Ballet & Dance. She continued her training at The HARID Conservatory and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School under the direction of Marjorie Grundvig.
Most recently, Gracie danced with Kansas City Ballet’s Second Company under the leadership of Christopher Ruud and Artistic Director Devon Carney. Her repertoire includes works by George Balanchine, Agnes de Mille, Lila York, Anna-Marie Holmes and Septime Webre, with performances in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Alice (in Wonderland), The Great Gatsby, Celts, Stars and Stripes and Rodeo.
Gracie has attended summer programs on scholarship at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, The HARID Conservatory, Kansas City Ballet School and Louisville Ballet School.
Alongside her ballet training, Gracie graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology specializing in Cybersecurity.
Gracie joins Ballet Spartanburg as a member of the Corps de Ballet for the 2026–2027 season.
