ADYSON LLOYD was born in Tampa, Florida and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she began her ballet training at Ballet Spartanburg’s Center for Dance Education.
She continued her training at Pacific Northwest Ballet School before studying at A&A Ballet Conservatory and Joffrey Ballet’s Conservatory Program. Most recently, Adyson trained in Charlotte Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program under the direction of Laszlo Berdo, Kati Hanlon Mayo and Patricia McBride.
Her repertoire includes George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Serenade; Ronald Hynd’s The Sleeping Beauty; Kent Stowell’s Cinderella; Alexei Kremnev’s Art Deco Nutcracker, Firebird and The Carnival of the Animals; Gerald Arpino’s Viva Vivaldi; Xavier Nuñez’s Camellia; Arthur Saint-Léon’s La Vivandière; Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux’s The Nutcracker; Eliot Feld’s ContraPose; and Edge to Edge by FlockWorks.
Adyson has attended summer programs at Pacific Northwest Ballet, American Ballet Theatre in New York City, Ballet Chicago, A&A Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and Charlotte Ballet.
After beginning her ballet journey at Ballet Spartanburg, Adyson returns to the organization as a member of the Corps de Ballet for the 2026–2027 season.
Ballet Spartanburg's Artistic Director, Carlos Agudelo, was awarded the South Carolina Governor's Award from the South Carolina Arts Commission on May 23, 2023, at the Chapman Cultural Center. The award was presented by Mr. David Platt, Executive Director of the South Carolina Arts Commission. "We recognize the unparalleled energy, enthusiasm, devotion and love for dance that Carlos has gifted to our community out of his passion for all to experience the arts for the past 32 years. We are overjoyed that Carlos has been recognized by the South Carolina Arts Commission, " Teresa S. Berline, Executive Director. "The South Carolina Arts Commission is an extraordinary organization in our state which promotes and advocates opportunities in the arts which values equality, access, diversity and inclusion.
