So You Think You Can Dance, Spartanburg!

So You Think You Can Dance, Spartanburg! is a friend and fund-raiser for 10 community groups who want to not only raise funds but awareness of their missions. 10 teams will dance on March 29, 2018, at the Chapman Cultural Center. Ballet Spartanburg is offering 2 tickets levels this season. Regular show tickets are $25 a person with the show beginning at 7:30. The VIP ticket holders/sponsors $65 per person includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Montgomery Building at Chapman Cultural Center with the show following at 7:30. 

The groups dancing this year are: Ballet Spartanburg ( no voting for Ballet Spartanburg),The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Upstate, Charles Lea Center, City of Spartanburg Police, Hub City Animal Project, Project Hope Foundation, Sidewalk Hope, Spartanburg School District 1, Spartanburg School District 7, and Spartanburg Parkinson’s.Buy your tickets today for the only DANCE EVENT in Spartanburg in 2018. Voting on line for each team has begun so VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE TEAM TODAY! 

This family friendly event is so much fun! Dogs dancing, children and adults dancing, the City of Spartanburg Police dancing... all to have fun and to raise money. YOU can help them. Buy a ticket to the event, VOTE on line or by mail or VOTE the evening of the show.

Ballet Spartanburg Receives 2018
Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Award

Ballet Spartanburg has received the 2018 Elizabeth O'Neill Award. This award is given each year by the South Carolina Arts Commission to recognize exemplary artists and arts organizations for the State of South Carolina. “Each recipient of these Verner Awards is an outstanding ambassador for our state and contributes greatly not just to the arts community, but the overall quality of life.  As the Arts Commission nears completion of its 50th anniversary celebration, we are honored to recognize organizations and individuals who live out the service, commitment and passion that helped the arts here thrive throughout the last half century."
